Event Details

As part of our Kindle Kindness Civility Roundtable, School counselor, Stephanie Foster leads this six-part series, Compassion Resilience. You're invited to attend one or all of the segments.

Section three helps guide you more deeply into the concept of compassion fatigue, defined by clinical child psychologist, Dr. Ross Greene, as a decreased capacity to empathize with those who are suffering. As you go through the complexities of caregiving (balancing routines and schedules, managing your own workload, societal pressures, etc.) it can become challenging to maintain compassion. This section outlines the Compassion Fatigue Cycle to provide a snapshot of what you may experience if your fatigue is not addressed.
